We are a team of Jamaican travel professionals who offer the best excursions and experiences in Jamaica. We are owned and operated by Jamaicans who love sharing the beauty and rich culture Jamaica has to offer with the world.

How do I know you are a legitimate company?

We are a legally registered entity in Jamaica, that is owned and operated by Jamaicans. We also have dozens of reviews that you can check out on our website. 

Do you have reviews?

Yes. Each tour page will have reviews from past clients. You can also go to our Reviews Page for more information about what our clients have said about us.

Is Jamaica safe for tours?

Yes, we look out for your safety at every step of the way by assigning you a local driver/guide, providing round-trip transportation, and only offering tours where your safety is assured.

Do you work with travel agents?

Yes, we do. If you are a travel agent looking to work with us, complete this form and we will be in touch. 

Is it possible to do a half-day tour with a private tour guide?

Yes, it is. All our tours are private tours and are fully customizable to suit your needs.

Where in Jamaica do you offer tours from?

We offer tours island-wide. Our drivers do transfers from everywhere in Jamaica, including Negril, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Falmouth, the South Coast, Portland, Kingston, Port Royal, and St. Catherine.

Where will you pick me up to begin the tour?

We can meet you anywhere in Jamaica to begin your tours, such as at your hotel, cruise ship port, school, movie theatre, shopping center, restaurant or any other landmark. Just tell us where we will pick you up during booking.

What type of tours do you offer?

We offer over 60 unique and amazing tours, experiences, and transfers in Jamaica. These include white sand beaches, cascading waterfalls, canopy ziplining, white river rafting/tubing, horseback riding, swimming with dolphins, reggae tours, and authentic Jamaican food adventures. When are tours available?

Our tours are run 365 days per year, provided that the attraction will be open for business. Check each individual tour or contact us to find out about availability and tour dates and times.

Can we stop to get lunch while on the tour?

Yes, you can purchase lunch while on your tour. Many tours have lunch add-ons for your convenience.

Is there an option to get to Lime Cay other than the small speed boats?

Yes, there are a few other options such as a medium-sized speed boat, a private catamaran, or renting a yacht.

Do you do a Dunns River Falls tour from Montego Bay?

Yes, we do.

Do you offer tours from Port Royal to the Bob Marley museum?

Yes, we do.

Are all of your tours private?

Yes, all of our tours are private.

How many people can you accommodate on your tours?

This depends on the tour. For most tours, we accept as little as 1 guest, while we can accommodate as many as 200 guests for others. We offer tours using several types of vehicles, so the number of people able to book a specific tour will depend on how many guests the attractions you will visit can accommodate at once.

What is the difference between half-day, full-day, and custom tours?

  • Half-day tours span from 4-6 hours.
  • Full-day tours span from 7-12 hours.
  • Custom tours include a customized itinerary whereby you can do multiple tours in one package. 

What if I am unhappy with my tour?

If you are unhappy with your tour, send us an email at [email protected], and let us know the issue(s) that you had on your tour. We will try our very best to rectify the matter to your satisfaction. 

Can I attend a morning and afternoon tour on the same day?

Yes, you can. We can create a custom itinerary for you to ensure you get the best tour experience in Jamaica.

Will a shore excursion tour always get me back to my ship?

Yes, we will ensure that you arrive before your ship is ready to depart.

I’m taking a cruise. How can I find out if you have tours at my ports of call?

We offer tours island-wide which include all ports in Jamaica.

Do your tours with animal interactions follow animal welfare guidelines?

Yes, we only work with legally registered tours that follow local and international guidelines, especially when it comes to animal welfare.

What clothing should I pack for my tours?

This depends from tour to tour. Clothing suggestions will be outlined on the tour page. For water tours you would need swimwear and towels, for adventure/muddy tours you would need good boots you don’t mind walking some distance in or getting dirty. As a rule of thumb, we always recommend you take some sunscreen with you.

What are the age restrictions on your tours?

The age restriction varies from tour to tour. Age restrictions will be outlined on the tour pages.

Can I join a tour late or leave it early?

Yes, but this depends on the attraction and the times you desire to arrive/depart. Check with us before booking.

Are airport transfers included?

We offer airport transfers at an additional cost. 

What type of ground transportation is used on your tours?

We use sedans, SUVs, minibuses, coasters, coach buses, and limousine/luxury vans. Luxury vehicles can be requested at an additional cost.

Can I bring a wheelchair or stroller on the tour?

This depends on the tour. This will be outlined in the package that you choose.

What happens if we arrive late for a tour?

Most tours offer multiple start times, so if you are a bit late to join a tour at the time you booked, we will try to book you on the next available tour that day. If you arrive late and the tour is no longer running for the day, we will offer an alternative tour, or give a refund if your guide causes the lateness.


How do I make a booking?

Making a booking is easy. You can either:

  1. Visit the tour page you want to book and submit an inquiry using the form, and a member of our team will reach out with booking instructions.
  2. Visit the book now page, complete the booking form, and we will send you the booking details.
  3. You can call, email, or live chat with us and we will walk you through making the booking.

Once your booking has been made, your tour will be confirmed when you submit your payment. We will send you a booking confirmation email once payment has been received.

I will be travelling to Jamaica soon. Can I book a tour while abroad?

Yes, you can. You can make a booking from anywhere in the world, and your tour will be confirmed.

My guide has not responded to any of my messages. What should I do?

If you are unable to connect with your guide, contact our office and we will take it from there. We will be in contact with you and your guide before pickup, so rest assured you will always be in the loop.

How can I book more than one tour?

You can book multiple tours at once for multiple days. Complete our booking form and we will get in touch with you within 24 hours to book your tours and adventures.

Can I combine different tours?

Yes, you can combine multiple tours to create a day package. Visit the tour page that you wish to join and look at the add-on options available.

I have submitted my booking request. What's next?

Once we receive your booking request, we will confirm availability and then send you a quote to make your payment. Once your payment has been made you will get a booking confirmation email.

I am planning a last-minute trip and have no time to do research on tours. What can I do?

What should I do If I feel unsafe during my tour?

If you feel like your guide or the attraction you visit is unsafe, don’t hesitate to contact us immediately to let us know.

Do you provide insurance to cover my tour?

TRAMEDIN, our travel medical insurance partner provides travel insurance plans that cover you if there are any accidents, especially on more danger-prone tours such as helicopter flights, rock climbing, motorbiking, etc. You can also purchase Trip Insurance from them, which covers your entire trip as well as any excursions you book with us in case of cancellation.

Are your vehicles insured?

Yes, all of the vehicles used for our tours are fully insured, and our drivers are trained and licensed.


How are your guides selected?

We only work with the most cordial, qualified, and experienced guides in Jamaica. Our guides are all pre-screened and we check their backgrounds.

What kind of checks do you perform on your guides?

All guides are required to do a criminal background check as well as complete our stringent application process.

How do I know your guide can provide a 5-Star experience?

We only work with the most experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable guides in Jamaica who continuously meet and surpass expectations.

Once my tour is confirmed, how do I contact the guide?

You will receive your guide’s contact information 1 day before your tour begins. Until then, feel free to contact our office if you have any questions or requests.

Can we contact tour guides directly?

Yes. You can contact them the day before your first tour begins.

Pricing & Payment

What form of payment do you accept for your tours?

We accept Visa or Mastercard, or Wire Transfers. Credit card payments attract a 5% processing fee, and Wire Transfers incur a $75 USD wire fee. If you are already on a tour and would like to pay for an upgrade or purchase another tour, then you may do so with cash or card.

What is included in the tour price?

This differs from tour to tour; however, all tours include round-trip transportation and an experienced driver to transfer and guide you. Read the tour page thoroughly for a full list of what is included.

Do you do payment plans or deposits?

No, we don’t accept deposits or payment plans. We accept payments via Visa or MasterCard, and Wire Transfers.

What form of payment do the attractions accept?

All attractions accept cash (USD), and some accept Visa or MasterCard. We recommend taking cash.

Do I pay with local currency or can I use US Dollars?

You pay in US dollars.

Are we expected to tip the guides at the attractions?

Yes, tipping is always encouraged, though not mandatory. Many guides at the attractions work for minimum wage, which is very low in Jamaica, so a small tip would be greatly appreciated. We also recommend tipping your driver/guide.

Are entrance fees included in your tours?

No, entrance fees are not covered. We outline the entrance fees on our website.

Can we get a discount if we book multiple tours and airport transfers?

Yes, we offer multi-tour booking discounts, repeat client discounts, and group discounts.

Can I buy a gift card?

No, not at this time.

How are tours priced?

Pickup location, the tours you will be visiting, and the number of people joining your tour are the factors that affect the price of your tour. You will be required to pay your entrance fees, which we will outline for you.

Can I pay the guide in cash on the day of the tour?

No, you cannot. Payments are made to the My Jamaican Tour Guide Office by either credit card or wire transfer.

More people are joining my tour, can we split the payment?

Sure, no problem. Just let us know and we will facilitate this.

How are exchange rates calculated?

If you will be changing foreign currency to JMD, the rate differs from vendor to vendor. For a general idea of today’s rates, you can follow this link.


What are the cancellation policies that are applicable?

Cancel 7 or more days before your tour and get a 100% refund. Cancellations done 7 days or less are not liable for a refund. In some cases, we may offer you the option to reschedule your tour for up to a year.

What happens if it rains when we are on a tour?

While cancellations due to the weather are usually non-refundable, we may offer you the chance to reschedule.

What should I do if my tour cannot go ahead as planned?

If we cancel your tour based on an issue on our end, then you would receive a refund. However, if the issue stems from your end or anything out of our control such as acts of God or emergencies, we are unable to issue a refund (unless you are still in the cancellation period).

What if my tour guide cancels?

If your tour guide cancels, we will either schedule a new guide for you or give you a refund.

I am not able to travel right now, how can I still have a My Jamaican Tour Guide experience?

Whenever you’re ready to travel, we can reschedule your tour for you.

How can I cancel my booking, and how do I know if I’m eligible for a refund?

You can cancel your booking by contacting us. If you cancel your tour more than 7 days before the tour date, you will be eligible for a refund.

I booked a shore excursion. Will I get a refund if my ship doesn't dock?

Unfortunately not. You will be able to reschedule your tour for up to a year.

I have changed my mind and cannot come to the tour. Do I have to let you know?

Yes, that would be greatly appreciated.
